MYMATCH Consortium Meeting at the University of Minho
Tilbake

On November 4–5, 2025, the MYMATCH consortium marked an important milestone: one year since the start of our Horizon Europe-funded project. The meeting took place at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal, bringing together 12 partners from 9 European countries to review progress and plan the next steps in our mission to address food safety risks linked to climate change.

Two days of collaboration and knowledge sharing

Over the course of two days, partners presented updates across all Work Packages, discussed methodological approaches, and aligned on strategies to predict and mitigate mycotoxin-related risks. These discussions are central to MYMATCH’s goal of developing the AI Mycotoxin Management Platform, which will provide tailored predictions and recommendations for researchers, farmers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers.

The meeting fostered collaboration and strengthened our shared commitment to creating safer and more sustainable food systems. We are proud to see the consortium working together toward innovative solutions that will have a real impact on food safety in Europe and beyond.

Exploring cutting-edge research Facilities

Following the meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit the University of Minho’s laboratories, guided by the Fungi Research Group. The site visit showcased the advanced facilities and expertise supporting MYMATCH’s research activities. Seeing these resources firsthand reinforced the importance of strong partnerships and scientific excellence in achieving our objectives.
