Partner description

NÉBIH of Hungary, established in 2012, incorporated almost all aspects of food chain safety supervision into one single authority, and is the single body under Article 109(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 coordinating the preparation of the MANCP across all competent authorities responsible for official controls. NÉBIH is involved in many Hungarian and European (HORIZON, Twinning, TAIEX) projects.

Role in the project

NÉBIH contributes to all Work Packages (WPs) except WP8 with its major research activities in WPs 5, 4 and 9, is a co-leader of WP5 “In-field sampling, characterization and mapping the occurrence of mycotoxigenic fungi” and is responsible for Deliverable 5.1 “MY occurrence report”. Activities: in-field maize and wheat sampling, analytics, molecular identification of moulds, genomics of A. flavus.
