Partner description
The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research organization in Italy, promoting innovation and knowledge across multiple disciplines. For this project, CNR contributes through two Institutes: CNR-IBE, focusing on bioeconomy and environmental sustainability, and CNR-ISPA, specializing in agri-food safety and technology, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach and the multi-actor engagement through its EU Food Safety Platform.
Uloga u projektu
CNR leads WP7 on predictive models and data navigation for food safety, spearheading key tasks like AI-driven scenario building and data fusion, while managing the project database and leveraging AgroSat for data storage and simulations. CNR-ISPA leads WP5 on field sampling, characterization and mapping of mycotoxigenic fungi, gathering information on expected shift in microbiological ecology, modifications of occurrence of toxigenic species and related MY on wheat, maize and, for the first time, tomato in different geographical areas of the Europe.
